Job Title: Senior Adobe Commerce Engineer

Duration: 6 months

Hours: 20 hours per week

Location: Canada only (Candidate must be based in Canada)

Job Summary

Client is looking for a Senior Adobe Commerce Engineer to support the implementation, integration, and ongoing enhancement of Adobe Commerce SaaS solutions for enterprise clients. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role involving platform configuration, systems integration, and operational support across complex commerce ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, front-end teams, and client technical stakeholders to deliver stable, scalable, and production-ready commerce solutions.

Mandatory Requirement:

• Candidate must be Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Commerce Developer

• Candidate must be located in Canada

Key Responsibilities

Adobe Commerce Configuration & Development

•             Configure Adobe Commerce SaaS features including catalog management, pricing rules, promotions, customer accounts, and entitlements

•             Implement B2B and B2C capabilities such as account hierarchies, shared catalogs, contract pricing, and customer-specific pricing

•             Support environment setup across development, QA, and production

•             Assist with SaaS service configuration and platform upgrades

Systems Integration & Data Management

•             Design, build, and maintain integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, tax, payment, and fulfillment systems

•             Develop and support REST and GraphQL APIs for storefront and downstream integrations

•             Ensure accurate synchronization of product, pricing, inventory, customer, and order data

•             Troubleshoot integration failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues

Operational Support & Quality Assurance

•             Support release readiness, configuration validation, and regression testing

•             Troubleshoot platform issues related to performance, data accuracy, and transaction reliability

•             Work with QA teams to identify and resolve defects and root causes

•             Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices

Collaboration & Delivery

•             Partner with Solution Architects to implement approved technical designs

•             Collaborate with front-end developers on storefront and drop-in integrations

•             Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and estimations

•             Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

•             4–7+ years of experience in eCommerce or backend platform development

•             2+ years of hands-on Adobe Commerce experience, including SaaS deployments

•             Strong experience integrating commerce platforms with enterprise systems (ERP, OMS, PIM, third-party services)

•             Proficiency in REST and GraphQL APIs

•             Experience supporting both B2B and B2C commerce implementations

•             Familiarity with composable commerce architectures

•             Experience working in distributed global delivery teams

•             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
