Scrum Master

Role Summary

- Agile delivery facilitator for a greenfield, enterprise-wide platform initiative

- Drives execution rhythm, removes impediments, and protects team focus across a multi-disciplinary engineering pod

- Operates within a large regulated financial environment, balancing agility with governance, compliance, and registry processes

Key Responsibilities

Agile Execution & Ceremonies

- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospectives)

- Maintain a healthy, predictable sprint cadence and ensure consistent definition-of-ready and definition-of-done

- Coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and scaled delivery practices (SAFe/LeSS where applicable)

Delivery & Flow Management

- Track sprint velocity, throughput, cycle time, and burn-down/up trends; surface insights to leadership

- Identify and remove blockers proactively; escalate cross-team dependencies and risks early

- Drive continuous improvement through actionable retrospectives and measurable experiments

Governance & Enterprise Alignment

- Ensure alignment with enterprise Agile frameworks, change management, and registry/audit processes

- Maintain delivery artifacts compliant with regulatory and internal control standards

- Partner with Release Train Engineers, PMO, and governance bodies for portfolio reporting

Team Health & Coaching

- Foster psychological safety, transparency, and a culture of accountability

- Coach Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders on Agile maturity

- Mentor adjacent teams on best practices and shared delivery patterns

Required Qualifications

 7+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master

- Proven track record delivering complex software products in regulated, large-scale enterprises

- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and enterprise reporting tools

- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I/II) or SAFe Scrum Master certification

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting platform, data, or developer-tooling teams

- Familiarity with enterprise Agile registry/intake processes and portfolio governance

- Exposure to financial services, banking, or other regulated domains

- Advanced certifications (SAFe SPC, PMI-ACP, ICP-ACC)

Technical Skills

- Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Miro, Mural

- Reporting/analytics: Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Tableau, Power BI

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and modern engineering practices (sufficient to converse with engineers)

Soft Skills & Leadership Expectations

- Servant-leadership mindset with strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills

- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to translate engineering nuance for executive audiences

- Calm under pressure; manages ambiguity with structure
