Responsibilities
• Provides expert literature search and analysis support to teams across Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs and Health Impact, and Regulatory by delivering timely, relevant, and high-quality insights.
• Creates, maintains, and curates literature alerts utilized for pharmacovigilance surveillance.
• Collaborates globally to ensure consistent delivery of literature intelligence, contributing to informed decision-making and the responsible use of knowledge assets across AbbVie.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (7+ years of experience), Master’s degree (5+ years of experience) or Ph.D. degree (0-2 years of experience) in library science, life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, bioinformatics, biomedical/clinical data science or related field.
• Experience supporting pharmacovigilance, product safety, health agency requests, or product submissions in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
• Extensive experience searching scientific literature and constructing complex search strategies in databases such as MEDLINE, Embase, Derwent Drug File, or BIOSIS.
• Experience with Dialog search platform preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients and teammates possessing diverse technical and business backgrounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.
