CA Workload Batch Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CA Workload Batch Operator to support and monitor enterprise batch processing operations across mainframe and distributed environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with CA Workload Automation tools, batch cycle monitoring, and production support within UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms.

This role is responsible for ensuring critical business processes execute successfully, identifying automation opportunities, and providing operational support for workload scheduling and batch execution activities.

Key Responsibilities
Perform daily validation of expected input files and escalate issues as needed
Execute and monitor batch cycles using:
CA Workload Desktop Client
ESP dSeries Workload Automation DE
Monitor job schedules and ensure timely completion of batch processing activities
Communicate batch readiness, execution status, and production results to stakeholders
Troubleshoot batch failures and coordinate issue resolution with support teams
Modify and maintain existing CA Workload applications based on developer requirements
Identify process improvements and enhancement opportunities within the CA Workload environment
Implement automation solutions to reduce manual operational tasks
Maintain operational documentation and follow established support procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CA Workload Automation / ESP dSeries Workload Automation DE
Knowledge of batch scheduling and production support operations
Experience supporting distributed systems including:
UNIX
Linux
Windows
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage escalations and work in a fast-paced production environment
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools and automation platforms
Familiarity with IT operations, incident management, and monitoring processes
Scripting or automation experience is a plus
Previous experience supporting mainframe batch operations preferred
