Job Description
We are looking for an experienced StarRocks Data Engineer / Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize high-performance analytics platforms using StarRocks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in distributed databases, data warehousing, real-time analytics, and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage StarRocks clusters for large-scale analytical workloads.
- Build and optimize real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines.
- Develop scalable data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune StarRocks performance for high concurrency and low-latency queries.
- Integrate StarRocks with cloud platforms, data lakes, and streaming technologies.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and platform teams to deliver robust data solutions.
- Implement security, backup, disaster recovery, and governance best practices.
- Support production environments and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills
- 7–9 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Database Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with StarRocks database administration, deployment, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of distributed OLAP databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with SQL optimization and query performance analysis.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of Linux administration and distributed systems.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of data integration tools and streaming platforms such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with modern data lake architectures (Iceberg, Hudi, Delta Lake).
- Exposure to BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience in multi-cloud environments and large-scale analytics platforms.
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
