Location: 100% Remote Role

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Required (Must have skills):

  • Enterprise Production Experience: Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI systems at scale in real enterprise environments (not just prototypes or demos).

  • Deep AI Stack Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, RAG systems, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and emerging AI paradigms.

  • C-Level Communication: Exceptional communication and narrative-shaping skills, with the ability to articulate highly technical AI concepts clearly and compellingly to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic Architectural Rigor: Strong capability to evaluate and implement AI agents, tool use, orchestration patterns, and robust evaluation frameworks for AI outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with executive leadership to identify high-impact AI opportunities and own the overarching AI technical strategy and roadmap development.

  • Architecture & End-to-End Design: Design and architect robust, end-to-end AI solutions from initial problem definition through production deployment.

  • Evaluation & Optimization: Evaluate trade-offs between different approaches (e.g., prompt engineering vs. fine-tuning vs. specialized models), model selection, inference strategies, latency, and cost optimization.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the strategic bridge, translating complex AI concepts between data science, engineering, product, and C-suite/board-level stakeholders.

  • Mentorship & Innovation: Mentor and guide technical teams on AI best practices while continuously evaluating emerging models, frameworks, and techniques for strategic enterprise fit.

Preferred Skills:

  • Legacy to Modern AI Migration: Experience leading enterprise migrations from traditional NLP/ML models to modern large language models.

  • Model Benchmarking: Hands-on experience working across a diverse set of models at scale, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and various open-source or fine-tuned variants.

  • Rapid Prototyping: Strong background in prototyping and validating novel AI approaches to prove business value before committing heavy enterprise resources.
