The Opportunity
Reporting to the VP Finance, and an integral member of the Ballmer Enterprises Team, the Systems Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple entities and organizations to manage and enhance Ballmer organizations’ financial systems.
This position will oversee system administration, ensuring optimal performance, resolving technical issues, and delivering comprehensive end-user training. Acting as a catalyst for process optimization, the role will execute improvement projects, streamline workflows, and introduce new tools to boost efficiency and reduce manual efforts. This is an individual contributor role, involving effective collaboration across the team and with external stakeholders. It does not include direct people management.
Key Priorities & Responsibilities
· System Administration: Own day-to-day administration and operational health of Ballmer Enterprises’ financial systems (D365FO, Fabric, Power Platform, Power Automate, Invoice Capture, Canvas Applications, Emburse and Egencia). This includes executing regular platform upgrades, providing end user training, diagnosing issues and leading resolution.
· Environment Management: Ensure that all environments are updated on a regular basis. Coordinate with internal teams as well as the Dynamics 365 Managed Service Partner on system testing, platform upgrades and scheduled code deployments. Some evening and weekend work in order to minimize business disruption is expected.
· Report Infrastructure Management: Maintain and enhance the reporting Datawarehouse to enable required financial and non-financial reporting. Support the Accounting and Finance teams on data validation, data integrity, and custom data mapping.
· Optimization Catalyst: Lead process improvement projects to more effectively utilize platforms and systems across Ballmer Enterprises. Create process efficiency enhancements through platform improvements, AI tools, and new system implementations. Prioritize system enhancements and operational improvements based on business impact, risk, and resource considerations.
· Process Improvement: Determine and implement workflow enhancements, automation, and system improvements in partnership with Finance, Operations, and IT teams.
· End User Training: Develop end user training across the organization including group and 1:1 sessions across a diverse stakeholder group. Develop and maintain end user resources and process documentation.
· System Development: Develop new tools, documentation, and resources to support the strategic roadmap for both Ballmer Enterprises and Halo Sports & Entertainment organizations, emphasizing streamlined workflows and reducing manual administration.
· Cross-group Collaboration: Partner with the finance and IT teams on various projects and day-to-day activities. Work closely with other departments to ensure that systems meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
· Artificial Intelligence Champion: Work with the Financial Systems Director and VP Finance to implement AI capabilities across Ballmer Enterprises organizations. Focus will specifically be on integrating AI features and functionality into existing platforms.
· Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest systems technology and best practices. Benchmark industry best practices and evaluate options. Incorporate new ideas and technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial systems.
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of experience in system administration or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, systems, and best practices.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics F&O and Power Platform with an emphasis on the Procure to Pay, Invoice Capture, Record to Report and Quote to Cash Business processes and related modules (AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting).
- Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing cloud based Datawarehouse platforms, preferably Microsoft Fabric utilizing data pipelines, API connections and SQL queries. This includes building and maintaining power automate flows to perform complex business integrations across multiple tenants and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Education:
- Experience operating in multiple Azure tenant environments.
Compensation
The starting cash compensation range for the Systems Manager role in Bellevue, WA includes an annual base salary hiring range of $115,300 to $144,100 plus a 10% annual performance bonus target opportunity. We aim to hire new employees within the hiring range to allow future compensation growth.
The annual base salary maximum for the role is $173,000. Individual pay increases are assessed annually based on multiple factors such as demonstrated skill in the role and context, progress and performance against goals, and increased experience.

Location & Hybrid Work
The position is located in Bellevue, WA.
Our organization practices intentional hybrid work. All Ballmer Enterprises employees are expected to work full days, whether on-site or working from home. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are in-office days, including overlapping core hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to concentrate availability of all employees in the office simultaneously for collaboration, working sessions, and quick response. Mondays and Fridays are typically flexible work-from-home or office workdays.
