Pay Range: $35 - $40/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and maintain SOPs, job aids, and technical training documentation for pharmacy operations
- Translate complex workflows into clear, actionable instructions for frontline employees
- Partner with SMEs, product, and business teams to gather requirements through direct interaction (often via phone)
- Observe workflows, ask probing questions, and document end-to-end processes including trigger points and decision steps
- Create documentation using MadCap Flare (daily use required) and HTML-based authoring
- Capture screenshots and system flows to enhance documentation clarity
- Manage full documentation lifecycle: Intake & assignment
- Stakeholder outreach
- Drafting & iteration
- Formal review & change control (regulatory alignment)
- Final deployment
- Work across multiple concurrent projects with SLAs typically around ~2 weeks (some faster, some more complex)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, style guides, and regulatory requirements
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Skills-2 years of technical writing experience (preferably in regulated environments)
- Hands-on experience with MadCap Flare (required daily usage)
- Experience writing in HTML or structured authoring environments
- Strong ability to analyze and document business processes from an end-user perspective
- Experience working with knowledge management systems (KMS)
- Excellent communication skills, with comfort engaging SMEs directly (phone preferred over email)
- Ability to work independently and own deliverables end-to-end
- Strong time management and ability to handle multiple parallel projects
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or insurance domains
- Familiarity with Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodology
- Experience with Information Mapping
