Java Backend Engineer – Apache Spark

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer with strong hands-on Apache Spark experience to develop scalable backend applications and data-processing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Apache Spark, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Hands-on Apache Spark experience is mandatory
• Experience with Spark Streaming and/or Spark SQL
• Strong experience developing Microservices
• Strong REST API development experience
• Experience with AWS – EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD
• Experience with Apache Kafka is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices
• Build and optimize Apache Spark-based data-processing applications
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Develop Spark applications using Spark SQL / Spark Streaming
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop and support applications on AWS
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support
• Troubleshoot application and performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
