Summary
We have a contract opening for a Microsoft Teams Phone Technical Specialist in Rockville, MD (hybrid, 2 days onsite, in-person interview), with a 1-year term and possible extension.
Role: Serve as technical lead for migrating 7,000+ telephony users from on-prem systems to Microsoft Teams Phone with Operator Connect. You will provision users and numbers, configure calling policies, auto attendants, and call queues, support a phased rollout, troubleshoot call quality, and document processes for handover.
Looking for:
- Large-scale telephony migration experience (Avaya, Cisco, or similar PBX to Teams)
- Teams Phone, Operator Connect, direct routing, dial plans, and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience with SBCs, carriers/SIP trunks, and voice network infrastructure
- Strong VoIP troubleshooting, plus PowerShell for Teams
- Teams Administrator certification is a plus
