Senior Technical Product Manager
We're hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager (12-Month Contract-to-Hire, Hybrid in Toronto) for a financial institution's platform that is responsible for evolving a mature enterprise SaaS platform serving businesses within the financial services sector. This platform supports complex operational workflows and configurable client experiences, and the team is focused on building scalable platform capabilities that enable security, flexibility, and long-term product growth.
This is not a traditional Product Owner or delivery management role. The team already has a strong delivery organization responsible for execution. Instead, they're looking for a Product Manager who can define platform strategy, own roadmap direction, make difficult prioritization decisions, and work closely with engineering, architecture, design, and customers to determine what gets built next.
You'll own foundational platform capabilities including Identity & Access Management (IAM), platform configuration, feature lifecycle management, and shared platform services that support a broader ecosystem of enterprise products. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex platform problems, thinking across multiple products rather than a single application, and balancing customer needs with technical and business trade-offs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of Product Management experience within enterprise software, B2B SaaS, financial services, or similarly complex technology environments
- Experience owning platform products, shared services, or foundational enterprise capabilities
- Strong experience defining product strategy, roadmap ownership, prioritization, and long-term product direction
- Experience working closely with engineering teams, technical architects, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, and platform architecture
- Experience with platform capabilities such as Identity & Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), authentication, feature management, enterprise administration, or platform configuration
- Strong customer discovery skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable product capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
- Experience working within enterprise organizations supporting multiple products, applications, and integrations
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience building configurable or multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience delivering platform capabilities that span multiple applications or product teams
- Background within financial services, enterprise software, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with enterprise platform governance, identity solutions, and shared services
- Experience working alongside UX, engineering, and architecture teams to shape complex product decisions
- Strong product intuition with the ability to make thoughtful trade-offs between customer needs, technical complexity, and business priorities
