Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll play a pivotal part on our Engineering team. This position is a Continuous Improvement professional role, who applies Lean Manufacturing activities to improve our operations regarding with process efficiency, quality, productivity and savings.

This position contributes to our vision by:
Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
Supports the site's projects roadmap implementation aligned with Hoshin Plan
Plans and leads basic Lean Sigma projects (Kaizen Events/ One Safran)
Participates in the implementation of advance lean Methodologies (VSM, SMED, TPM & DMAIC)
Develop process mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement trough business
Support development of Lean six sigma methodologies by eliminating production wastes
Sustains the QRQC program. Evaluates business metrics accuracy
Promote and uses problem-solving methodologies (Analytical, and negotiation skills), develop innovative solutions and pursue Quality Improvements
Assists with workstation design, Standard Work, line balancing, and layout improvements;
Assists and pursue the deployment and sustainment of 5S's methodology;
Support timely internal follow up reports (CI progress or management meetings)
Serves as instructor for basic courses that teaches personnel how to assess, identify and improve their own needs and opportunities;
Fosters the Lean Sigma culture within the organization;
Sustains, drives, and promotes the Employee Suggestion Program;
Keeps focus in Best Practices sharing and implementation;
Prepare presentations to review status of projects as appropriate
Regular, predictable attendance is required

Candidate skills & requirements

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma methodologies training.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing processes, a must.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Continuous Improvement, preferred.
Experience in Aerospace or a related industry is desired.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies- Basic
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing - Basic
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with internal and external customers.
Capable of managing large amounts of data and multiple tasks.
Ability to build strategic working relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong ability to analyze various options to determine best solution for the organization.
Self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic team environment and produce results with minimal management guidance.
Computer Skills:
Strong proficiency in the use of common software packages including MS Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
Capable of managing large amounts of data and tasks.
Competency in performing data analysis through data business analytics services (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Other Skills:
Problem solving skills - ability to analyze a problem and determine if driven by design, supplier or other factors in a timely fashion
Capacity to operate in a pluri-disciplinary, inter-cultural and international environment
Qualities in interpersonal relationship and in kindly challenging the organizations
Must have excellent technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Capacity to do benchmarking
