SAP Technical Manager

Work you'll do

As an SAP Technical Manager, you will support clients across the solution lifecycle, from business process assessment through design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

• Lead SAP technical and application development workstreams across the solution lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities

• Advise client technology and business stakeholders on SAP-enabled transformation priorities, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, custom development, extensibility, and enterprise integration

• Oversee technical design and delivery across SAP development and integration components, including ABAP, application programming interfaces, middleware, OData services, Core Data Services views, and connected enterprise applications

• Define and apply technical architecture standards, development methods, and quality controls to support scalable, maintainable, and secure SAP solutions

• Lead integrated delivery teams and collaborate with functional, data, security, infrastructure, and business teams to drive execution, resolve issues, and align technical solutions to business process transformation objectives

• Contribute to practice development through mentoring, recruiting support, proposal support, and development of technical assets, accelerators, and innovation initiatives

The team

Deloitte's SAP practice helps clients design, implement, and sustain SAP-enabled transformations across core business functions. Our teams combine industry knowledge, functional experience, and technology capabilities to support first-time implementations, business-led enhancements, and large-scale SAP S/4HANA programs.

Professionals in the practice work with leading organizations across industries to modernize operations, improve process performance, and unlock value through cloud, automation, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree plus 10+ years of SAP, enterprise resource planning, or consulting experience

• 8+ years of SAP consulting experience supporting solution design and end-to-end delivery in a consulting firm, industry environment, or both

• 5+ years of experience in SAP application development, integration architecture, technical architecture, or technical delivery leadership roles

• Experience supporting or leading 4+ SAP implementations, with demonstrated responsibility across key phases such as design, build, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare

• Experience with SAP ABAP and at least 4 of the following: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Process Orchestration/Process Integration, SAP Cloud Platform Integration/Integration Suite, SAP Business Technology Platform, Core Data Services views, OData services; and experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems using middleware, application programming interfaces, IDocs, SOAP/REST services, or B2B interfaces

• Experience leading a client-facing technical workstream, team, or delivery scope for 1+ SAP implementation across cloud, on-premise , or hybrid SAP landscapes

• Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

Master's degree

• 3+ years of client service delivery experience in a consulting or professional services environment supporting enterprise transformation engagements

• Experience with SAP custom development, extensibility, or technical modernization on 1+ implementation

• Experience on 1+ project involving data migration, data conversion, SAP Landscape Transformation, SAP HANA modeling, or technical performance optimization

• Experience on 1+ project involving Amazon Web Services, cloud-native integration patterns, or hybrid architecture design

• Current SAP certification or specialized training in ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, integration, SAP Business Technology Platform, or cloud technologies
