Job Description: QA Automation Engineer – Spring Boot & AI

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Spring Boot, Java, and AI-driven testing to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for modern applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API automation, microservices testing, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-powered quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, Selenium, REST Assured, and related technologies.
• Test REST APIs, microservices, and backend applications built using Spring Boot.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Validate API contracts, request/response payloads, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Leverage AI/ML-based testing tools to improve test coverage, test generation, defect detection, and test maintenance.
• Explore Generative AI and LLM-based solutions for test case generation, test data creation, and intelligent test automation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Perform database validation using SQL and troubleshoot application and test failures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, defect triage, and release readiness activities.
• Monitor test execution results, report defects, and provide quality metrics.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation or software quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Spring Boot applications.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
• Experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API testing.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience testing database-driven applications using SQL.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing, Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-powered automation tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Cucumber.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Python for test automation and AI integrations.
• Exposure to prompt engineering, LLM APIs, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Knowledge of observability tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
