Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to lead sponsorship sales efforts for a large-scale data center industry conference. This individual will be responsible for securing sponsorship revenue, developing strategic partnerships, and managing relationships with leading companies across the data center, hyperscale, colocation, power, infrastructure, construction, and technology sectors.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, experienced in B2B sales, and comfortable engaging with executive-level decision-makers. This role requires a proactive hunter mentality combined with strong account management and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsorship opportunities for the conference
  • Build and manage relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and strategic partners
  • Develop customized sponsorship packages aligned with client marketing and business objectives
  • Conduct outbound sales efforts through calls, emails, networking, and industry events
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective sponsors and accurately forecast revenue
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements and close high-value partnerships
  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to ensure sponsor deliverables are executed successfully
  • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to generate new business
  • Maintain CRM records, activity tracking, and reporting on sponsorship performance
  • Work closely with leadership to achieve and exceed sponsorship revenue goals
  • Stay informed on data center market trends, major industry players, and emerging technologies

Job Details

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, B2B sales, event sales, staffing sales, or business development
  • Experience selling into the data center, technology, construction, infrastructure, or commercial real estate industries preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot preferred
  • Willingness to travel for industry events and client meetings

Preferred Experience:
  • Existing network within the data center or critical infrastructure industry
  • Experience selling conference sponsorships, trade show booths, or event partnerships
  • Knowledge of hyperscale, colocation, AI infrastructure, power, cooling, or mission-critical environments
