JOB POST TITLE: Quality Operations Coordinator
EST START DATE: ASAP, ideal start date 3/2/2026
CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months, potential to extend
LOCATION: Virtual, fully remote! Must work PST hours to accomodate Seattle-based manager
HOURS: 40hr/weeks, 9a-5p core hours, no OT/Holiday, no travel expectations
PAY RANGE: $30-35
WHAT TEAM IS THIS CONTRACTOR PART OF?
This team is made up of x4 quality managers, the team spans across Europe, China, and Japan, so the protocols this team is testing against are international. This team is bringing basics and products to the market.
TEAM FOCUS / KEY PROJECTS: This role is made to create protocols for testing shampoo in a lab. This team is looking for someone with strong documentation and technical writing skills. They need to be organized to manage 250+ protocols from different labs. This person will need to reach out to 3rd party labs and retrieve their protocols. This person will look at customer complaints/feedback and test the shampoo against those.

WHAT IS THIS CONTRACTOR SPECIFICALLY DOING? This team is looking for an experienced Quality Operations Coordinator to support a time-bound initiative focused on developing and finalizing performance testing protocols. This contractor will work directly with third-party laboratories to create, review, and refine testing protocols that meet defined quality standards. The engagement is execution-heavy, highly structured, and must be completed within a 3-month timeframe.
MAIN QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 4+ years of general PM exp
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in Engineering or anything relevant
- Experience in quality, testing, or compliance within consumer products, CPG, or a related industry
- Familiarity with laboratory testing environments and performance testing methodologies
- Strong documentation review and technical writing skills
- Proven ability to manage high-volume deliverables under tight timelines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple external partners
- Strong analytical skills to identify gaps between customer experiences and testing coverage
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideally someone who has lab experience
- Exposure to private label or retailer-owned brands
- Experience working with third-party labs or certification bodies
- Experience supporting global or multi-region programs
- Backround as a quality tech or manager or project manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact with external testing laboratories
- Partner with labs to develop new performance testing protocols
- Review and assess lab-provided protocols for accuracy, completeness, and alignment to requirements
- Edit and standardize protocols as needed to ensure consistency and usability
- Track progress and manage delivery across ~250 testing protocols
- Maintain clear documentation and provide regular status updates
- Identify risks, gaps, and delays and proactively drive resolution
ENGAGEMENT EXPECTATIONS
- Deliver approximately 250 finalized performance testing protocols within 3 months
- Operate as a hands-on contributor with minimal ramp-up time
- Manage stakeholders both internal and external
- Ability to review wholistic processes, identify inefficiencies, and make recommendations to streamline workflow
