This role serves as a strategic security leader within the IT Security & Compliance organization, partnering closely with infrastructure, engineering, development, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to establish scalable security standards, govern architectural decisions, and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical security architecture expertise with strong governance, communication, and leadership capabilities. This individual will help drive secure-by-design practices, mature architecture review processes, influence enterprise technology direction, and ensure security controls align with both operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise cybersecurity architecture program across cloud, infrastructure, application, endpoint, network, and data security domains.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise security architecture standards, reference models, governance frameworks, and secure design patterns.
  • Oversee security architecture reviews for new technologies, applications, integrations, and enterprise initiatives to ensure security requirements are appropriately addressed.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, engineering, and development teams to embed security controls and best practices into technology roadmaps and solution delivery processes.
  • Provide architectural guidance and risk-based recommendations related to secure system design, implementation approaches, and technology adoption.
  • Develop repeatable and scalable security patterns that improve consistency, efficiency, and security alignment across teams and platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement of architecture governance processes, including metrics, reporting, exception management, and review workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to automate security-by-design guardrails, review activities, and reusable secure configuration standards.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex architecture decisions, security exceptions, and high-risk design concerns.
  • Ensure security architecture considerations are incorporated into change management, enterprise projects, cloud adoption initiatives, and major technology transformations.
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to support regulatory requirements, audit readiness, and policy alignment.
  • Mentor architects, engineers, and technical teams on secure architecture principles, emerging threats, and modern cybersecurity practices.
  • Influence long-term security and technology strategy through active participation in enterprise architecture and technology planning discussions.
  • Support additional cybersecurity and governance initiatives as needed.

Leadership Experience

  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including formal people leadership, architecture governance leadership, or technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to mentor technical teams and influence senior technology stakeholders across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
