Role Summary

We are looking for a finance-focused ERP migration expert to lead the move from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance to SAP S/4HANA Finance. You ll own the migration of financial data, processes and controls end to end, making sure balances reconcile to the penny, audit trails are preserved and regulatory requirements are met throughout cutover.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the current D365 Finance landscape, including chart of accounts, financial dimensions, legal entities, posting profiles, customizations and integrations
• Define the finance migration strategy (greenfield, selective data transition, phased or big-bang) aligned with period-end and fiscal-year timelines
• Map D365 financial dimensions and chart of accounts to SAP S/4HANA structures (company codes, GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, segments)
• Design SAP finance configuration for the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), document splitting, parallel ledgers and multi-currency
• Migrate financial master data: GL accounts, customers, vendors, banks, fixed assets, cost/profit centers
• Migrate financial balances and open items: GL balances, open AR/AP, fixed asset values and depreciation, open POs/SOs with financial impact
• Run mock loads with full financial reconciliation (trial balance, subledger-to-GL, AR/AP aging, asset registers) and obtain Finance/Controller sign-off
• Make sure audit trails, historical data access and data retention meet audit and regulatory needs
• Embed SOX controls, segregation of duties (SoD) and compliance checks into the migration
• Redesign finance integrations: banking (payment files, bank statements), tax engines, consolidation and reporting tools
• Plan and execute cutover around period close, including freeze windows, balance carry-forward and hypercare through the first month-end/quarter-end close
• Work with CFO office, Controllers, Internal Audit and external auditors; report status, risks and issues to leadership

Must-Have Skills

• Proven delivery of at least 2 end-to-end finance migrations to SAP S/4HANA, ideally from Microsoft Dynamics
• Deep SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise: GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Controlling (CO-CCA, CO-PCA)
• Strong knowledge of D365 Finance: GL, financial dimensions, AP/AR, fixed assets, cash and bank management, Data Management Framework (DMF)
• Hands-on with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) and SAP Data Services (BODS)
• Strong financial reconciliation and validation experience
• Solid understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS) and period-end close
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls and audit support
• Strong SQL and data transformation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management with finance leadership and auditors
