Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to design, implement, and optimize our warehouse and logistics operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable SAP EWM solutions to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational performance. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from business blueprinting to post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Solution Design: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EWM to meet complex business requirements. This includes setting up warehouse structures (e.g., Storage Types, Bins, Activity Areas) and configuring key processes.
Process Optimization: Map and optimize key warehouse processes including Inbound (putaway), Outbound (picking, packing, wave management), and Internal (replenishment, physical inventory) processes.
Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP EWM with other core SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP, QM, TM) and external systems using interfaces like IDocs, APIs, and EDI.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead workshops to gather business requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.
Testing & Support: Develop and execute test plans (Unit Testing, SIT, UAT) and provide go-live support and hypercare to ensure successful deployment.
Documentation & Training: Create functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials. Conduct end-user training sessions to ensure smooth knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: 5-10+ years of experience in SAP consulting, with a strong focus on SAP EWM configuration and delivery.
Project Lifecycle: At least 2-3 full-cycle SAP EWM implementation projects, including S/4HANA Embedded EWM experiences.
Core EWM Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge in POSC, LOSC, WOCR, Wave Management, Handling Unit (HU) Management, and RF Framework.
Technical Skills: Proven experience integrating EWM with MM, SD, PP, and QM. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and data migration activities is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP EWM certification.
Experience with advanced features like Cartonization, Quality Inspection Engine, Labor Management, and Slotting.
Knowledge of warehouse automation (e.g., ASRS, conveyor systems) integration.
Experience with decentralized EWM (sidecar approach).
