Job Role: Technical VBS developer - Oracle Cloud Fusion Technical Developer

Oracle Cloud Fusion Technical Developer  

 Job Summary:   

The Oracle VBS / SaaS Developer is responsible for modernizing enterprise applications within the Oracle platform. This role focuses on building scalable front-end applications using Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS), integrating with Oracle SaaS platforms, and driving the migration from Oracle Classic UI to Redwood UX standards. 

Good to have knowledge and experience in Oracle APEX and VBCS. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Execute migration efforts from Oracle Classic UI to Redwood UX standards  
• Redesign legacy customizations and extensions into Redwood-aligned experiences using VBS,  VBS Express and Advanced Mode (Page Composer)   

• Groovy Scripting

• Having experience in Oracle Apex and VBCS. 
• Evaluate existing Fusion UI customizations and identify migration or retirement strategies  
• Ensure adherence to Oracle Redwood design system (patterns, layouts, interaction models)  
• Partner with functional and product teams to modernize user journeys and improve usability 
• Drive consistency in Redwood UX across all developed applications and modules 
• Partner with OIC developers to implement end‑to‑end business flows across SaaS and PaaS 
• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to support VBS applications and integrations  
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers  
• Partner with Integration and Reporting teams to support end-to-end data flows 
• Develop BIP reports, extract data using Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI reports and consume them in OIC and VBCS is a plus 
• Troubleshoot performance, data, and integration issues across OIC and Fusion 
• Participate in architectural reviews and enforce coding and deployment standards 
• Collaborate with product owners and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions 

Required Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of enterprise application development experience 
• 2+ years hands‑on experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio 
• Strong experience integrating with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, SCM, etc.) 
• Solid understanding of Oracle REST APIs, BI Publisher, and OTBI data sources 
• Proficiency in JavaScript, REST, JSON, and UI development concepts 
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) strongly preferred 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills 
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Proficiency in Oracle Integration Cloud, including Process, Connections, and Integration Design and implementation with knowledge of events/applications and when/how to utilize. 
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, API management, business events and application composer data transformation. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Willing to learn and adapt to evolving space and business needs. 
• Oracle Cloud and Fusion certifications  
• Prior experience in large enterprise SaaS environments
