NetSuite Finance & Accounting Lead

Location: Cumming, GA
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance & Accounting Lead with 10+ years of experience and strong ERP expertise, preferably with NetSuite, to support a business transformation and ERP initiative in Cumming, GA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial operations, month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and ERP-driven finance processes.

This is primarily a Finance/Accounting leadership role rather than a technical ERP position. The resource will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and technology stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify critical reporting needs, ensure accurate financials are generated through the ERP system, and drive improvements across accounting and close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support accounting and financial operations through the ERP platform.
• Drive and improve month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Identify, define, and document critical financial reporting requirements.
• Determine which financial reports, dashboards, and metrics are essential to the business.
• Ensure financial statements and management reports are generated accurately through the ERP system.
• Provide leadership across General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Review and optimize accounting workflows and ERP-driven financial processes.
• Analyze financial data and ERP outputs to identify discrepancies and process gaps.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate business requirements into ERP processes and solutions.
• Work closely with ERP/technical teams to ensure Finance requirements are properly configured and implemented.
• Participate in ERP testing, including SIT/UAT, financial transaction validation, reconciliations, and reporting validation.
• Support the development and optimization of financial reports and dashboards.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and automation.
• Develop process documentation, workflows, and procedures for key Finance and Accounting functions.
• Provide guidance to Finance leadership regarding ERP capabilities and financial process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with accounting and financial operations.
• Extensive experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and financial statements.
• Strong understanding of how accounting transactions flow through an ERP system.
• Proven experience defining financial reporting requirements and identifying critical business reports.
• Ability to work effectively with Finance, Accounting, and IT/ERP teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting or leading NetSuite Finance/Accounting implementations, optimization, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with NetSuite GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or financial transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing and optimizing financial reports and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional Finance and Technology teams.
