Duration: 12 months + potential to extend

Pay Range: $65-75/hr (W2)

Onsite/Hybrid: 50% onsite

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Job Description

We are seeking a Scrum Master to join our dynamic team within Commercial BI&T Digital Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile delivery for data and analytics programs and a proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, AI-ready data products and analytics pipelines.

Project Description:

Large-scale, multi-region Foundational Data Transformation program migrating fragmented commercial pharma data warehouses onto a governed Databricks platform. The program consolidates enterprise data sources (sales, market access, patient services, omni-channel, and master data) into standardized, AI-ready data products across US, EU, and other global markets, and rebuilds existing analytics pipelines to new data modeling standards.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.


• Guide sprint planning, define sprint goals, and support estimation and task planning.


• Partner with the Product Owner to groom, prioritize, and maintain a ready product backlog.


• Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices to improve delivery discipline.


• Proactively remove impediments and escalate risks to maintain flow.


• Foster a collaborative environment with open communication, trust, and respect.


• Coordinate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, and stakeholders to align dependencies and integrations.


• Maintain transparent stakeholder communication on status, risks, issues, and decisions.


• Lead retrospectives and implement actionable improvements for continuous improvement.


• Continuously assess and optimize Agile processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.


• Track and report Agile metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and throughput.


• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.


• Identify delivery risks and issues and drive mitigation and resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical or data-focused background with substantial experience as a Scrum Master delivering data and analytics initiatives.


• Proven success leading Agile teams in complex, multi-region programs and platform migrations, preferably on Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.


• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban and related best practices.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for team and stakeholder engagement.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for risk assessment and issue resolution.


• Effective facilitation skills for meetings, workshops, and decision-making.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or certifications such as CSM or PMI-ACP preferred.


• Pharma GxP software development experience preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Databricks, lakehouse architectures, and modern data modeling standards.


• Prior work in Agile settings supporting data science, machine learning engineering, and analytics engineering teams.

Working Conditions:
