Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Downers Grove, IL that is seeking an M&A Security Integration Lead with deep expertise in Proofpoint Email Security to support global mergers and acquisitions.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end security integration efforts across multiple acquisitions, with a primary focus on Proofpoint email security deployments, migrations, and optimization. This role requires hands-on technical execution, strong M&A integration experience, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced, complex environments. Responsibilities include leading email security integrations, guiding risk-based security decisions, and ensuring continuity of threat protection during transitions. The role also contributes to building repeatable security integration playbooks and standardizing security capabilities across acquired entities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead security activities across mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence through post-close integration
* Support Day 0, Day 1, and Day 100 planning with an emphasis on email security risks and dependencies
* Define and execute secure onboarding strategies for acquired entities
* Drive standardization through repeatable M&A security integration playbooks
* Coordinate with global technical teams managing parallel integration efforts
* Own end-to-end Proofpoint deployment, migration, and integration activities
* Lead tenant consolidation, domain onboarding, and secure mail flow design
* Assess legacy email security tools and guide migration or decommissioning strategies
* Ensure continuity of threat detection, quarantine management, and incident response workflows
* Optimize policy tuning to reduce false positives and improve threat detection

Configure and manage Proofpoint policies, including:
* SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
* Anti-phishing, anti-malware, and impersonation protection
* URL Defense, Attachment Defense, and TAP
* DLP and email encryption

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP) preferred
* 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with exposure to M&A or large-scale integrations
* Highly organized, self-driven, and able to operate independently in fast-paced environments
* Strong hands-on expertise with Proofpoint Email Security
* Proven experience supporting M&A security platform integrations
* Experience with enterprise security tools such as Palo Alto, CyberArk, Qualys, CrowdStrike, or similar
* Solid understanding of email security architecture, tenant consolidation, and mail flow design
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in high-speed environments
* Strong communication skills with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
* Configuration-first, engineering-oriented approach to security implementation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
