Title: MEMS Test Production Engineer
Length of Contract: 6 months contract-to-hire
Location: Santa Clara, CA - Fully Onsite 5-days per week Preferred (potentially 1-2 days per home but need be )
Process: 2 Rds. Initial 30-minute Candidate Presentation Interview, what kind of projects they worked, put together a few slides of the past work they ve done (what they re able to share). Then 2nd round 3 additional 30 to 45-minute slots

Job Summary
The MEMS Test Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality MEMS wafer-level testing. This role supports day-to-day production activities including prober management, probe card debug and calibration, vendor coordination, MES configuration, test program qualification, and test instruments troubleshooting. The engineer will also design and execute data-driven experiments (DOE) to improve yield, enhance test coverage, and reduce cycle time. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, quality, product engineering, test development, process and NPI teams to resolve technical issues and continuously optimize production performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily production test operations by monitoring test performance, troubleshooting equipment and hardware issues, and ensuring the test line remains fully operational.
- Manage probers, probe cards, test hardware and test programs, including qualification activities, maintenance scheduling, and failure analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve equipment issues, implement test improvements, and manage spare parts and service logistics.
- Design and run DOE experiments to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance MES workflows to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable production execution.
- Develop and manage recipes for defect detection using automated optical inspection (AOI) tools.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, MEMS, or high-volume manufacturing test environments; wafer-level experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting production test operations, including ATE systems, probers, and wafer-level test hardware.
- Experience debugging probe cards, including both cantilever and vertical pin architectures.
- Proven proficiency in developing and automating test programs using C#, LabVIEW, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), yield analysis, and wafer probe/test methodologies.
- Familiarity with MEMS fabrication processes is a plus.
- Experience with wafer sort is a plus.
