Position Overview:
The OSDH is seeking an Application Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable, cloud-enabled web applications and API integrations in an Agile environment. This role focuses on developing high-quality, secure code, solving integration challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver state-level public health solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain robust, reusable, and secure software applications and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement solutions across at least two core tracks:
.NET web/API development, modern UI frameworks, or Azure cloud services.
- Write and optimize complex SQL Server queries, T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database schemas.
- Partner with external vendors, system architects, and business stakeholders to resolve integration bottlenecks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, technical feasibility assessments, and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and Git.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; OR 2–4 years of hands-on application development experience (or equivalent combination).
- Technical Experience (Hands-on depth in at least two of the following):
- .NET Stack: C#, ASP.NET, Web API, RESTful Web Services.
- Modern UI: Angular, React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Cloud Services: Microsoft Azure architecture, app hosting, and cloud integrations.
- Database & Data Protocols: SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, database tuning, XML, JSON, HTTP/SSL, and caching mechanisms.
- Tools & Methodologies: Git version control, Azure DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
