*Hybrid Onsite Schedule based on Commute Distance:
- Madison Area: Onsite 3 days per week
- Within 50 miles of Madison: Onsite 2 days per week
- 50+ miles outside Madison: Onsite 1 day per week or 4x per month
Overview
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will lead enterprise and solution architecture efforts that align business strategy with modern, secure, and scalable technology platforms, supporting large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives across the organization.
Ideal Candidate
Senior-level Solutions Architect with strong Azure cloud experience and the ability to design strategic, enterprise-scale solutions that integrate complex systems and technologies. Experience working within investment management or broader financial services (banking, insurance) is strongly preferred.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or architecture certifications preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise and solution architecture, ideally within financial services or investment management environments.
- Expertise connecting business strategy to architecture across application, data, technology, and business domains.
- Deep knowledge of modern architecture patterns including microservices, API-first architectures, event-driven systems, and zero-trust security models.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
- Experience with Kubernetes, service meshes, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and align cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools and modeling frameworks such as ArchiMate, BizzDesign, OpenSearch, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-sourcing architectures.
- Cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent preferred.
What You'll Do (Skills Used in This Position)
- Lead solution architecture for large-scale strategic initiatives, providing end-to-end architectural oversight from concept through implementation.
- Design, review, and validate architecture and design documents to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and scalability goals.
- Define and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks, blueprints, and roadmaps aligned with long-term modernization strategies.
- Build and contribute code including microservices, infrastructure-as-code templates, automation scripts, and platform accelerators.
- Guide cloud platform strategy, legacy system modernization, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Partner with business, data, and technology leaders to deliver integrated, resilient, multi-region cloud solutions.
- Mentor engineers, architects, and technical leads on design best practices and emerging architectural patterns.
- Govern architecture standards, reference models, reusable patterns, and tools across the technology organization.
- Lead architecture reviews and contribute to enterprise initiatives including platform rationalization, infrastructure modernization, and data architecture improvements.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and enterprise resilience initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor for architecture governance, technology investment prioritization, and portfolio planning.

Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role qualifies for a generous bonus plan and full comprehensive employee benefits. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
