Senior Process Engineer - Injection Molding
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within an injection molding manufacturing environment.

This role will focus on optimizing molding processes, supporting new and existing tooling, improving cycle times and uptime, and implementing scientific molding techniques when needed. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Lead startup, shutdown, processing, and troubleshooting activities for injection molding presses and automation.
Develop, monitor, and optimize molding processes for new and existing tooling.
Apply scientific molding principles to improve process consistency and product quality.
Identify opportunities to reduce labor, downtime, cycle times, and overall manufacturing costs.
Establish and maintain process monitoring criteria and documentation.
Partner with Quality and Engineering teams during mold trials and process development.
Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives throughout the production environment.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Ensure processes meet applicable quality standards and ISO requirements.
Qualifications
15+ years of injection molding experience, including 10+ years in process development.
Strong experience working with engineering-grade resins.
Experience with microprocessor-controlled injection molding equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills.
Knowledge of quality principles and manufacturing processes.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments.
Training or experience with injection molding machines, automation, or related manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Work Environment
Hands-on role working primarily on the production floor.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have the necessary tools/toolbox for the position.
On-site position; not eligible for telework.
