Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer V with strong RF hardware design experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in RF schematics and layout, RF simulation and validation, and a proven ability to deliver reliable RF performance at the component, board, and system levels in consumer electronics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop RF schematics and layouts, and collaborate with vendors for DFM and manufacturing for research systems and devices.
- Perform RF link budget analysis and execute RF issue debugging in the lab.
- Conduct RF circuit and 3D EM simulations, perform performance tuning and optimization, and validate RF conducted performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure RF performance targets are met at component, board, and system levels.
- Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure overall system quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in RF hardware design for consumer electronics.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with RF front-end and SoC schematic, layout capture, and board bring-up.
- Hands-on use of RF lab equipment for device characterization, debug, and component/system performance validation.
- Proficiency with RF circuit and EM simulation software.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- MS or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Cadence or Altium.
- Experience in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or cellular RF module design, optimization, and validation.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.
