Principal Risk Specialist (Operational Risk Challenge & Advisory)

Location: McLean, VA /Richmond, VA / Reston, VA

Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)

Contract: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Line Risk Management challenge and advisory support.
• Review and assess RCSA, PLA, PRA, and other risk assessment processes.
• Analyze risk and control data to identify operational risks, gaps, and remediation plans.
• Partner with Business Risk Offices (BRO), Independent Risk Management (IRM), Internal Audit, and Enterprise Risk teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on operational risk and control standards.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience with RCSA, PLA, PRA, and Operational Risk frameworks.
• Strong risk analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and risk/control standards.
• Advanced Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Tableau skills.

Preferred Skills

• Master''s Degree.
• 3+ years of Risk Management/Audit experience.
• Process Management experience.
• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, or PMP.
