Compensation: $130,000 - $165,000 / year
DescriptionAs a Battery Engineer (open to all levels), you will develop new lithium-ion battery packs for use in Impulse's next generation space vehicles. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all phases of spacecraft development, from concept to full rate production as part of a fast-paced high reliability environment.
Responsibilities Develop new lithium-ion battery packs to meet mission requirements
Own full product lifecycle
Interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and test teams
Generate electrical, structural, and thermal models
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
Years of professional experience in battery development
Familiarity with lithium-ion battery qualification and safety standards (ie UN 38.3)
Hands on experience troubleshooting electronics
Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve concerns
Preferred Skills and Experience- Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
Experience qualifying spacecraft products
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Experience with Simcenter or ANSYS
Experience with Altium Designer
Experience designing harsh environment power electronics
Experience designing electromechanical assemblies
Additional Information:Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the
