Production Support Software Engineer
Role Overview
Critical mid-level software engineering role supporting Level 2/3 production issues within R&D.
Increasing platform complexity, customization, and expansion into government environments have created additional support demands.
Existing team includes two onshore and two offshore resources; seeking one additional engineer.
Position is intended to be permanent, initially structured as contract to leverage Randstad’s recruiting and screening capabilities.
Technical Requirements
Primary skills: Java and Oracle/SQL, with stronger Java proficiency preferred.
Secondary skills: React and Vert.x; Spring Boot experience beneficial.
Cloud and AI tooling experience advantageous.
Strong analytical troubleshooting, root-cause identification, and problem-solving capabilities.
Prioritize learning agility and engineering fundamentals over extensive seniority or mastery of every technology.
Candidate Profile
Mid-level engineer comfortable balancing software engineering with production support.
Strong communication, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, product, and client services.
Ability to independently investigate incidents, manage escalations, and communicate resolutions effectively.
Location Preferences
Atlanta strongly preferred due to significant R&D team presence.
Blue Bell, PA, and Salt Lake City, UT, are acceptable alternatives.
Remote candidates remain an option; local candidates offer the advantage of in-person interviews.
