Job#: 3022627 Job Description: Job DescriptionOverviewThe Information Technology (I.T.) department is seeking a Network Engineer II (Contractor) to support and enhance a wide range of critical applications and infrastructure. The team supports applications across financial, operational, and employee-facing functions, spanning platforms such as Java/Oracle, AWS, Azure, IBM/Power, Microsoft SQL Server/.NET, PeopleSoft Financials, Salesforce, and more.
This is an exciting time to join the team, as significant enhancements are underway to modernize and expand the network technology architecture in support of ongoing business growth.
Role SummaryThe Network Engineering team is responsible for the full lifecycle of diverse network topologies, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, core networking, routing, network performance monitoring (NPM), Wi-Fi, VPN, WAF, and load balancer technologies across both data center and cloud environments.
The Network Engineer II will support all aspects of these responsibilities, including operational support, incident and problem resolution, and participation in project-based initiatives.
QualificationsRequired:- 3+ years of professional network engineering experience, including hands-on design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced Expertise In:- CloudFormation and Terraform
- Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC Peering
- Route tables, security groups, and NACLs
- Hybrid cloud connectivity
Solid Understanding of Data Center Networking Fundamentals:- Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing
- VLANs, BGP, and OSPF
- Firewall and load balancer configuration
- Network monitoring and performance tuning
Additional Requirements:- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and perform after-hours maintenance as needed.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
