Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile teams delivering innovative finance technology solutions, with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning initiatives.
This role is responsible for driving Agile excellence, optimizing delivery performance, and fostering continuous improvement within complex, fast-paced financial environments. The ideal candidate brings strong finance domain experience, Agile leadership expertise, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through successful technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum and Agile best practices
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives)
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and deliverables
- Track milestones, manage risks, and escalate issues proactively
- Remove impediments and protect teams from external distractions
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, fostering accountability and self-organization
- Support backlog grooming and prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using KPIs and delivery metrics
- Provide high-quality status reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Leverage AI tools where appropriate to support requirements elicitation and user story refinement
- Foster collaboration and transparency across teams and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 9 years of experience as a Scrum Master in technology-driven environments
- Proven experience leading Agile delivery in medium-to-large, complex IT organizations
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
- Experience managing IT delivery within the Banking or Finance sector
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Exposure to Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (conceptual knowledge of TensorFlow or similar)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification
- PMP certification is a plus
