Senior Enterprise Technical Support Consultant
Location Sacramento, CA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract (24-Month Initial Term with Extension Option)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Technical Support Consultant to join a growing enterprise IT organization supporting critical business operations across a modern Microsoft-centric technology environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for infrastructure operations, cloud administration, cybersecurity, endpoint management, automation, and advanced troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior systems engineer or infrastructure professional with deep expertise across Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, networking, security operations, and enterprise support. This role will play a key part in stabilizing, optimizing, and maturing enterprise IT operations while helping drive process improvements and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for enterprise infrastructure and business-critical systems.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Defender, and related services.
• Manage endpoint deployment, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management across enterprise environments.
• Support cloud operations, cybersecurity initiatives, identity and access management, and secure remote access solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and security issues across multiple technology domains.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring, automation, and operational support processes.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve IT service delivery, operational maturity, and system reliability.
• Develop automation solutions using scripting technologies to streamline administration and operational tasks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

Required Qualifications
Experience

• 8+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure, systems administration, or operations support experience.
• 5+ years in a senior or technical leadership capacity.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments and mission-critical systems.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Endpoint management and patch management
• Enterprise monitoring and operational support
• Remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms

• Change management and operational governance

Cybersecurity & Cloud

• Cloud security operations
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Threat detection and incident response
• Security monitoring and vulnerability remediation
• Secure remote access technologies

Networking

• TCP/IP
• VPN technologies
• Firewalls
• Network troubleshooting
• Enterprise connectivity and security

Automation & Scripting
Experience with one or more:

• PowerShell
• Python
• Bash
• Infrastructure automation and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access and Prisma Cloud.
• Experience supporting highly regulated or government environments.
• Experience implementing operational maturity initiatives and IT process improvements.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Security, Networking, or Cloud technologies are highly desirable.
