Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer
Role Overview This is not a traditional IT support role. The position is dedicated to
hands-on restoration, inspection, and failure analysis of damaged data center hardware.
Project Purpose This role supports a global hardware quality team whose mission is to
reduce and prevent hardware damage across large-scale data centers. Your work will directly contribute to:
- First-level investigations and root cause analysis
- Identifying recurring trends and documenting issues
- Submitting bugs and collaborating with partner teams
Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing and documenting damaged hardware conditions
- Performing basic failure analysis and component restoration
- Managing and triaging tickets from global data center teams
- Supporting continuous improvement through data review and bug submission
Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Manage and triage quality issue ticket queues
- Ensure tickets are complete; gather missing data when needed
- Conduct first-level root cause analysis on hardware failures
- Provide recommendations for simple investigations
- Review fleet data to detect recurring failures
- Create and document bugs for partner teams
- Present performance data clearly to stakeholders
- Edit, improve, or author technical documentation (repair guides, deployment guides, etc.)
Mandatory Skills - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in hardware quality, product/test engineering, or hardware issue resolution
- Basic data analysis skills (Excel, data entry acceptable)
- Hands-on comfort with hardware components
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence
Nice to have: SQL, Python, JMP experience

- Automotive (quality, diagnostics, hardware/mechanical troubleshooting)
- IT hardware technicians with repair experience
- Electronics hardware repair specialists
- Lab / R&D environments
Additional Value Skills - Server/storage/networking hardware repair experience
- Familiarity with spreadsheets or databases
- Exposure to hardware development labs or data center environments
