Summary

Role: Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Administrator/Developer

Location: Austin, TX (100% Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

Strategic Liaison and Translation
- Work with program areas, project sponsor and system SMEs to understand member and provider data domains and common data identity issues.
- Explain technical findings and data limitations in simple, non-technical language to end-users.
Data Reporting and Visualization
- Extract, integrate, and analyze member and provider identity data from multiple complex internal and external sources to support HHS analytics needs.
- Collaborate with end-users and performance analysts or IT internal leaders to create visualizations showing member and provider profiles for constantly emerging analytics needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise on validating output from AI, particularly with respect to identifying and mitigating hallucinations.
- Ensure all data identities adhere to agency data standards, data governance, and compliance regulations.
Data Literacy and Training
- Champion data identity across the organization by developing and conducting training sessions for non-technical staff.
- Create clear, comprehensive documentation and tutorials on using master data for data integrations.
- Promote a data-driven culture by enabling and empowering all employees to effectively utilize master data tools and AI.
Collaboration and Problem-Solving
- Work closely with data engineering, IT, and Program teams to troubleshoot data identity issues and address inconsistencies and mitigation strategies.
- Provide expert guidance to program staff on interpreting data identity trends and answering complex identity questions.
- Stay up to date on new AI and data identity tools and techniques to continuously improve data integrations, data quality and reporting.
AI Prompting and Data Synthesis
- Develop and refine effective AI prompts and query strategies to retrieve and synthesize data accurately from complex data domains.
- Guide non-technical users in crafting precise prompts to get the data they need, ensuring fidelity and accuracy.
- Develop a library of standardized prompts and query templates for common data identity needs.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

12+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including ETL development, data integration, workflow design, and enterprise data migration initiatives.
10+ years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex identity resolution and operational requirements into actionable client and provider identity management solutions for advanced analytics.
10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using tools such as Informatica MDM.
8+ years of experience explaining technical findings, identity resolution outcomes, and data limitations to business users and leadership in clear, non-technical language.
8+ years of experience using SQL for data identification, profiling, analysis, validation, and manipulation across large and complex datasets.
8+ years of experience collaborating with business users, performance analysts, and IT leadership to create, validate, and optimize client and member identification strategies for analytics and reporting initiatives.
8+ years of experience demonstrating strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse environments supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
5+ years of experience using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for cloud-based data integration and ETL processes.
4+ years of experience working in Health & Human Services (HHS), healthcare, Medicaid, or other regulated environments with knowledge of agency data domains and compliance requirements.
4+ years of experience applying data governance, data stewardship, and data quality management principles and best practices.
3+ years of experience serving as the primary point of contact for program staff and stakeholders regarding MDM requirements and analytics projects.
2+ years of experience promoting and championing Master Data Management (MDM) practices, standards, and adoption across an organization.
1+ year of experience with AI prompt development to support data management, analytics, or operational efficiency initiatives.
