Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Equity Research Associate for a contract position in New York, NY. The opportunity will be four months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Daily writing of research reports and comments
• Analysis of financial statements and press releases
• Examination of industry databases and publications
• Completion of extraordinary information and data requests
• Creation and maintenance of detailed financial models
• Communication of recommendations to internal and external clients
• Participation in site visits and management meetings

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field
• U.S. only: SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses are required
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• A keen interest in Equity Research
• A positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and strong attention to detail
• Superior work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet stringent deadlines
• Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours
• Solid technology skills with robust knowledge of Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg

Preferred:

• MBA, CPA/CA, and/or CFA certification
• Banking/Financial Industry experience
• Prior industry experience in the internet & media industry is beneficial
