Java Microservices Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will support and enhance modern microservices-based applications built on Java and Spring Boot. You will work across multiple teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure services. Position Responsibilities:

• Develop, support, and troubleshoot microservices using Java and Spring Boot 3/4
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, adhering to best practices and standards
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy applications in Kubernetes environments
• Leverage observability tools for application monitoring and logging
• Contribute to building and maintaining event-driven architectures(e.g., using messaging queues)
• Document and expose APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
• Work with API gateways to manage and secure API traffic
• Implement and support OAuth for secure authentication and authorization
• Learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed

Experience And Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Proficiency inJ ava
• Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful web services
• Experience using Git for source control
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Exposure to observability platforms(Datadog, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
• Knowledge of event-driven systems and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
• Understanding of API Gateways and OAuth concepts

Preferred Skills:

• Hands on experience with AWS cloud architecture and development using AWS resources like S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.
• Building Spring apps utilizing both SQL and NoSQL Databases (Mongo, DynamoDB, SQL Server, Postgres, etc..)

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• JavaScript
• Python

Education:

• College Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.

Salary/Rate: $55-$70/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
