We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will support and enhance modern microservices-based applications built on Java and Spring Boot. You will work across multiple teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure services. Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, support, and troubleshoot microservices using Java and Spring Boot 3/4
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, adhering to best practices and standards
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy applications in Kubernetes environments
- Leverage observability tools for application monitoring and logging
- Contribute to building and maintaining event-driven architectures(e.g., using messaging queues)
- Document and expose APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
- Work with API gateways to manage and secure API traffic
- Implement and support OAuth for secure authentication and authorization
- Learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed
Experience And Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency inJ ava
- Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful web services
- Experience using Git for source control
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Exposure to observability platforms(Datadog, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
- Understanding of API Gateways and OAuth concepts
Preferred Skills:
- Hands on experience with AWS cloud architecture and development using AWS resources like S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.
- Building Spring apps utilizing both SQL and NoSQL Databases (Mongo, DynamoDB, SQL Server, Postgres, etc..)
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
- JavaScript
- Python
Education:
- College Degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience.
Salary/Rate: $55-$70/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
