Job DetailsProject Designer - Electronic Security Systems
Location: Denver, Colorado
Summary: Join a leading systems integration company specializing in electronic security, life safety, and low-voltage solutions for commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. We're seeking an experienced Project Designer to support the engineering and delivery of complex security projects from concept through installation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AutoCAD drawings for electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
- Create floor plans, riser diagrams, device layouts, wiring details, and project documentation.
- Review project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable codes to ensure accurate, compliant designs.
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, customers, vendors, and AHJs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), assist with submittals and RFIs, and recommend cost-effective design solutions.
- Provide technical support during project execution as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing electronic security, low-voltage, fire alarm, or building automation systems.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and/or fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, AHJ requirements, and commercial construction projects.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
