Job Description
· Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and sustaining of automated functional test systems that are sold to DoD and international defense customers.
· The candidate’s primary function will be radio test system development with a heavy emphasis on writing software applications in NI LabVIEW.
Essential Functions
· Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW.
· Continuous improvement of measurement algorithms, techniques and reporting to improve quality and reduce overall cost.
· Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques.
· Participate in the development of new software architectures designed to maximize reuse, reduce development costs, and improve software quality.
· Port existing test applications to new platforms.
· Support existing orders and support proposals as we continue to grow our test solutions business.
· Occasionally support the installation and commissioning of test systems at customer facilities.
· Provide technical guidance to early-career engineers.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
· Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
· In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
· NI LabVIEW & TestStand experience.
· Basic networking (TCP/IP) and Radio/RF communication system experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
· Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP/OOD).
· Familiarity with software management tools (e.g. SVN/GIT, JIRA).
· RF and baseband test and measurement experience.
Familiarity with test equipment such as
· Spectrum & Network analyzers, Power Meters, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Audio analyzers.
