Desktop Support Technician - ONSITE ROLE Location: Chicago, IL Contract: 6 18 months

Role Overview

Provide onsite and remote desktop support to Grant Thornton employees in a fastpaced, highuptime environment. Serve as the firstresponse Customer Experience (CX) Associate, ensuring near100% laptop availability, resolving technical issues quickly, and delivering a positive customer experience across assigned offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver enhanced IT support through walkups, remote tools, and scheduled maintenance.
• Install software, perform hardware repairs, and guide users through troubleshooting.
• Resolve Windows 10, Office 365, SharePoint, and GT application issues.
• Own tickets endtoend, provide proactive updates, and escalate when needed.
• Participate in MIM calls, testing of images/software deployments, and pilot rollouts.
• Maintain printers, conference room tech, access points, MDF closets, and IT inventory.
• Support onsite events, client meetings, and conference setups.
• Document resolutions, update asset systems, and identify knowledge gaps.
• Work independently while collaborating with Customer Experience teams to ensure uptime.

Basic Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 1 3 years in field service, desktop support, or enduser IT services.
• Experience with Windows OS, Office products, laptop hardware, and mobile device support (iOS/Android).

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of ServiceNow or Remedy ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with printers, copiers, video conferencing, and multimedia equipment.
• Strong communication, organization, and customerservice skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot analytically and manage tasks independently or in a team.
• Flexibility to learn new technologies quickly.
