Desktop Support TechnicianOn-Site | Full-Time | Intermediate Level
Position OverviewTEKsystems is in need of a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for end users in a Windows-based environment. These roles focus on workstation installation, troubleshooting, repair, and basic network support. Ideal candidates bring strong customer service skills, solid technical knowledge, and the ability to work directly with users in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site desktop support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and deploy computer equipment and related devices.
- Troubleshoot Windows-based systems, applications, and workstation components.
- Perform hardware repair, replacement, and break/fix tasks.
- Support basic network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN connectivity.
- Use a ticketing system to log, track, and resolve incidents (experience with ITSM tools preferred).
- Assist with printer support, mobile device support, and general workstation maintenance.
- Escalate issues to higher-level teams when necessary.
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with end users.
- Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Required Skills- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and support.
- Hardware installation, repair, and peripheral support.
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred).
- Basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, connectivity issues).
- Familiarity with productivity suites and common business applications.
- Ability to support password resets, account issues, and remote assistance.
Preferred Skills- Experience with directory services.
- Imaging and deployment experience.
- Knowledge of endpoint management tools.
- Printer and mobile device support.
- Relevant certifications (A+ or similar).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to document work accurately.
- Will consider junior candidates with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
