Role Summary
Hands-on Lead ServiceNow Platform Engineer to build custom scoped applications, modern UI components, and cross-system integrations for the Customer Success Platform. This role requires daily coding, design ownership, and mentorship of 4 6 engineers.
What You'll Do
- Design and build custom scoped applications using App Engine / ServiceNow Studio
- Build UI components using UI Builder (Next Experience), Lit, or Web Components
- Design custom data models tables, relationships, indexing, referential integrity
- Implement server-side and client-side logic using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, ACLs
- Build integrations using REST APIs, Scripted REST, Integration Hub, OAuth, MID Server
- Develop customer lifecycle workflows (onboarding, adoption, renewal) using Flow Designer
- Lead 4 to 6 engineers through code reviews, sprint planning, and technical decisions
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance improvements
Required
- 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development (not just configuration)
- Proven experience building custom scoped applications (App Engine Studio / ServiceNow Studio)
- Strong JavaScript, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, Script Includes
- Ability to understand and design data models - new tables
- UI development using UI Builder / React / Angular / Lit / Web Components
- REST integrations, Integration Hub, OAuth, multi-system data flows
- Experience leading or mentoring 4+ engineers
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- ServiceNow CAD certification
Good to have
- AI assisted coding - Claude code/Windsurf/Cursor etc
- Now Assist, Predictive Intelligence, AI Skills, MCP connectors, Agentic
- CRM/Customer Success domain knowledge
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $69000
Pay Range Maximum: $177000
In addition, this position qualifies for benefits like health insurance, paid time off (PTO), 401(K). Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and/or to comply with federal or state law.
