Functional safety Engineer

We are looking for a functional safety Engineer for our client in Detroit Area.

•     BS/MS in Electrical, Systems, or Automotive Engineering

•     5+ years automotive functional safety experience

•     Hands-on HARA, FSC, TSC, FSR, TSR, and SSR authoring

•     Proficiency in Ansys Medini Analyze (safety lifecycle mgmt)

•     Solid ISO 26262 Parts 3, 4, 8, 9 working knowledge

•     Experience with SOTIF (ISO 21448) for ADAS features

•     In-vehicle protocol knowledge: CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet

Multi-domain exposure: Powertrain or ADAS or Body

•     ISO 26262 FSE Certification (TÜV Rheinland / TÜV SÜD)

•     ePowertrain / BEV / HEV safety architecture experience

•     ADAS Level 2+ safety concept development (ISO 21448)

•     Experience with UDS, DoIP, AUTOSAR safety mechanisms

•     Requirements tools: IBM DOORS, JAMA Connect, Polarion

•     FMEDA / FTA experience at system and HW level

•     Knowledge of IEC 61508 or aerospace safety (ARP4754A)

OEM or Tier-1 supplier safety governance experience
