Compensation: $45.00/hr on W2 / $50 On C2C

Position Overview
Seeking an enterprise-grade Business Analyst with strong expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) and the Appian low-code platform to drive digital transformation and workflow automation initiatives. This 100% on-site role in Naperville, IL requires a local candidate to act as a primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The BA will conduct process modeling (AS-IS / TO-BE), construct BPMN workflows, author User Stories and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and collaborate directly with Appian developers on Process Modeler, SAIL interfaces, Records, and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities
* Requirements Elicitation & Stakeholder Management: Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to gather, analyze, and document functional/non-functional requirements, AS-IS/TO-BE models, and Epics/User Stories.
* BPM & Process Re-engineering: Analyze existing business operations to identify workflow bottlenecks, create BPMN-compliant process maps, define KPIs, and design automated end-to-end process models within Appian.
* Appian Solution Alignment: Collaborate with Appian developers to validate solution architectures across Appian Process Modeler, Records, SAIL Interfaces, Reports, Decision Rules, and REST/SOAP API integrations.
* Agile Delivery & Backlog Governance: Serve as a BA / Product Owner proxy in Agile/Scrum teams, leading backlog grooming, sprint planning, user story acceptance criteria definition, sprint demos, and retrospectives.
* Traceability & Compliance Documentation: Maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and traceability matrices to ensure audit readiness and seamless QA validation.

Required Skillset
* Experience: 6+ years of professional Business Analysis experience within enterprise IT delivery environments.
* BPM & Process Modeling: Demonstrated expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) principles, BPMN diagrams, workflow optimization, and process mapping.
* Appian Platform Proficiency: Solid functional understanding of Appian low-code platform capabilities (Process Modeler, Records, SAIL Interfaces, Decision Rules, and REST/SOAP integrations).
* Agile Requirements Delivery: Strong hands-on experience authoring User Stories with detailed acceptance criteria, managing Jira backlogs, and supporting sprint lifecycles.
* Local Residency Requirement: Must be local to Naperville, IL and available to work 100% on-site.

Preferred Qualifications
* Appian Certified Associate Developer or Certified Business Analyst credential.
* Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or enterprise digital transformation projects.
