SAP Administrator

Description

We are seeking a Senior Application Administrator - SAP to support and continuously improve a complex SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. This is a senior-level technical role focused on SAP application and platform administration, cloud environments, system performance, integrations, security and risk, transports, disaster recovery, production support, and overall SAP reliability.

The ideal candidate brings strong SAP BASIS and S/4HANA technical administration experience, along with hands-on implementation/project experience and an understanding of SAP RISE and cloud architecture.

This role will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to members of the SAP Operations team and will collaborate closely with functional teams, solution architects, systems integrators, AMS partners, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and provide production support for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Monitor system performance, background jobs, queues, interfaces, and overall system health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP technical issues and production incidents.
• Manage SAP transports and change movement using Rev-Trac.
• Support SAP BTP and cloud environments, including troubleshooting and platform administration.
• Support SAP RISE/cloud environments and contribute to cloud architecture and design discussions.
• Partner with AMS and systems integration providers to resolve issues and support enhancements.
• Monitor technical risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
• Support integrations across the SAP landscape and related applications.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, implementations, enhancements, and other technical projects.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and system reliability initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to SAP Operations team members.
• Participate in an on-call rotation or provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP technical administration/BASIS experience.
• Strong hands-on experience administering SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, troubleshooting, performance management, and production support.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or major SAP projects.
• Understanding of SAP RISE, cloud environments, and cloud architecture concepts.
• Experience working across technical, functional, vendor, and business teams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work through complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
