ETL Informatica Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ETL Informatica Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, ETL development, data warehousing, and database technologies, with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Develop mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
  • Extract data from multiple sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into data warehouses and target systems.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
  • Optimize ETL mappings and workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, workflow failures, data discrepancies, and performance problems.
  • Monitor scheduled ETL jobs and ensure successful data loads.
  • Implement error handling, logging, restartability, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
  • Participate in data warehouse development, including fact tables, dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation, mapping specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers.
  • Support deployment of ETL code across development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in ETL/Data Integration development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data integration, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience developing Informatica mappings, workflows, sessions, and transformations.
  • Strong understanding of Source Qualifier, Lookup, Joiner, Aggregator, Router, Expression, Update Strategy, and Sequence Generator transformations.
  • Experience with Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3).
  • Knowledge of data quality, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with ETL performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC/IICS).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Airflow.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and version-control tools such as Git or Jenkins.
  • Experience with large-volume data migration and integration projects.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
