Summary

 
Title: Database Developer – SQL Server 
Location: 100% Remote (East coast preferred)
Duration: Long Term Position Overview
 
Key Responsibilities
 
•  Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
•  Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and database code.
•  Analyze database environments and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
•  Refactor and enhance legacy SQL and stored procedures.
•  Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance issues.
•  Design relational database schemas and data models for new applications.
•  Partner with software developers on application integrations and automation initiatives.
•  Support emerging AI/ML and automation-focused solutions.
•  Establish database development standards, documentation, and best practices.
•  Collaborate with distributed development and engineering teams.
 
Required Qualifications
 
•  5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience.
•  Strong SQL query development and optimization skills.
•  Extensive stored procedure development experience.
•  Experience with relational database design and data modeling.
•  Strong database performance tuning experience.
•  Ability to analyze complex environments and recommend scalable solutions.
•  Experience working with software development or Agile teams.
•  Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
•  Python scripting or development experience is a plus but not required
•  Experience with automation platforms or workflow applications.
•  Cybersecurity or infrastructure technology experience.
•  Familiarity with AI/ML data platforms or data pipelines is a plus but not required
•  Experience designing databases for new application development.
