Position Overview
FutureSoft Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Manager to support enterprise-level governance, compliance, and project intake oversight. This role is responsible for ensuring that all technology initiatives comply with internal governance frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
The IT Manager will collaborate with internal committees, technical teams, and business stakeholders to review, prioritize, and approve project requests while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring consistent process flow.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, along with proven experience in IT governance, risk, and compliance environments.
Key Responsibilities

Governance & Compliance>
Develop, review, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and governance documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and enterprise standards
Support governance committees by preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and tracking action items
Collect, analyze, and report IT quality and compliance metrics
Prepare clear written summaries, reports, and policy documentation
Facilitate training and communication related to IT policies and compliance requirements
Document and escalate suspected policy violations in accordance with established procedures
Support audit and compliance documentation requirements
Maintain organized filing systems, databases, and regulatory records

Project Intake & Review>
Review project submissions for completeness, feasibility, and strategic alignment
Assess customer requirements and technical needs
Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical leads to validate solutions
Prepare projects for governance board or steering committee review
Support documentation of funding justifications, risk assessments, and compliance requirements
Evaluate integration and enterprise architecture impacts

Continuous Improvement>
Identify opportunities to improve intake, review, and evaluation processes
Develop guidelines, templates, and training materials for business users
Draft new policies, procedures, and governance standards
Support process optimization and quality improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Communication & Facilitation>
Facilitate meetings to refine project scope and requirements
Serve as liaison between business units and IT teams
Communicate timelines, decisions, and expectations to stakeholders
Coordinate with architects, engineers, cybersecurity, and operations teams
Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments
Provide regular updates to leadership regarding project status and requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, Operations Management, Communications, or related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and SDLC methodologies
Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory standards
Proven ability to analyze documentation for compliance and regulatory alignment
Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Experience coordinating across multiple teams and departments
Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
Ability to manage priorities independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities
Ability to secure and manage sensitive records and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience negotiating contracts
Project management experience
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Familiarity with public sector or regulated environments
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and NDAA
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
