DB2 Systems Programmer - Telecommute

This is a telecommute engagement with no travel to the client location after initial onboarding.  We reimburse all travel and living expenses when travel is required.

** The telecommute shift for this position is  Midnight - 8:30am ET Wednesday - Sunday **

** This position is to provide support for issues (break/fix, performance, etc) that might arise during the night - think of this as being a dedicated on-call Sysprog ** 

** Please do not apply if you cannot be at your PC at all times during this window of time.  When you are contacted, you will be expected to be at your PC ready to work.  This is not an on-call position where you can delay start of work because you're not home or not close to your PC ** 

We're looking for an experienced DB2 Systems Programmer with most of the following skills:

• Subsystem tuning
• General problem determination skills
• DB2 Installation & SMP/E       
• DB2 configuration       
• DB2 maintenance       
• DB2 monitoring       
• SMF/RMF experience        
• TCP/IP experience with DDF
• DB2 Version 10        
• Good knowledge of WLM for DB2       
• Install new DB2 tools       
• Prepare install plan for each tool into prod       
• Use Omegamon for daily reports       
• Evaluate DB2 tools for lapping functionality       
• Subsystem Tuning       
• SQL Tuning       
• Complex environment experience       
• Problem solver of last resort       
• Excellent Customer-facing skills       
• Must be able to utilize standard Microsoft products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Visio) to present architecture documents, project plans, detail designs, etc.
• Must have excellent written and interpersonal skills and be able to interact with Applications, Systems Programming, and management teams
• Must be able to work alongside other peers and integrate as part of the larger team

Onboarding Requirements: Must be able to pass 7 year criminal backgroud check and drug screen. 

Rate Information: Rate DOE but will generally fall within a range of $60-65 per hour on 1099 (independent or C2C) for standard and overtime hours.  We reimburse all travel and living expenses for your travel. You will be working with other GTSG team members on this engagement.
